Our Story

We started in 1991, before the public internet, programming BBS systems that connected queer communities over phone lines. Those DOS-based systems had message boards, media galleries, and chat rooms—the precursors to today's social media.

QueerMates brings that spirit back. We've kept the best of the past—the shoutboxes, the animated emojis, the ability to truly customize your space—and built it with modern privacy controls, AI companions, and mobile-responsive design.
